I was using DVD Decrypter. Then tried to play and no-go.

I've never ripped a dvd, but I assume when you use dvd decryptor , it takes the data on the dvd and puts it on your hard drive. Then I guess you need to use some software to convert that data into a format readable by media players.
You can use a program like super to convert it.

If you have WinDVD or PowerDVD or any other DVD software, it should play the VOB files just as is.
Most people compress the to DIVX though, which gets them down to about 750mb each.
However I just convert them to MPEG2.
Gotcha, What was happening was after the VOB files were placed in the video folder, I would try to play them with (built in player) WMP and it would start at #3 or some random #, and it would only play that one then stop. I would then have to navigate to the folder to select the next. I will try another compression program and see what happens.
