Any ever deal with a Radeon 9000 128 pro video card???

I just got this card for christmas (from santa no less). installed fine with the newest ATI drivers from the website. hooked it up to watch a VCD on my 40" TV in the living room. decided to play some UT2k3 afterwards. noticing that the display seems to be randomly shutting off, as in the card is stopping output to the monitor. this seems to be happening when i'm using the TV as the only display or when i'm using a monitor as primary and TV as secondary. i have to restart the comp to get full use of monitor and tv.

any ideas?? not a heat problem, if that was even a remote chance. its got it's own fan and i don't have the side on my case....

    later,
    nathan

If you can, try getting one previous release of drivers, either the catalyst 2.3 or 2.5. make sure you fully erase any ati drivers before you install the new ones though.

try reinstalling DirectX after the drivers are installed, and go through the dxdiag and see if there are any problems that it finds.
