Never mind. I figured it out.
Got a Compaq CQ50-139wm (The $300 Walmart deal)
Nice laptop, comes with a 160Gig HD, 2 Gig Ram, 2.0 GHz Celeron proccessor and Vista.
Vista sucks, and makes it run VERY slow. (I actually got 2 laptops, and the other one is the same)
Vista is neat because of the appearance, not sure how it's better in any other way.
I was thinking about putting XP on it, but I don't want to loose what's on it, or loose Vista.
Can I install XP, have a dual boot system, and decide what opr system to run on at boot?
Can I run my installed programs with XP that I have already installed (in Vista)?
How???
EDIT:
OR....this has the restore crap on a "D" drive partition. (The laptop did not come with cd's)
Can I copy the restore stuff on drive D to a DVD, and boot from the DVD in case I decide to put Vista back on it?

How's the speed of the laptop? sounds cool1![]()
Horribly slow, but I installed TweakVI, that increased it by 30%.

depending on how big the hard drive is, you might be able to use something like partition magic to re size your active partition without formatting, then just install your chosen OS.
Hope that helps.
Thanks, but I got rid of it.
Sold it on eBay and made a 100 bucks
Than I bought the Aspire One instead:
