Motor is out, and Interior is stripped!

The other day, I got into it to bring it to have the sound deadening installed, and When I started it, I got this lower-end "knock"! The motor is shot! 5.7 going in sooner then I thought! The truck is off to the bodyshop to detail under the hood, and change the color (BLACK) shave the roof, tailgate, and remove all moldings! I have a sweet charcoal interior to be installed, I exchanged the tan one out if this blazer into a 91' rusty 4x4! Let the project begin!

Sounds like fun. I'm doing the same thing right now:

Player: Pentium 166MMX, Amptron 598LMR MB w/onboard Sound, Video, LAN, 10.2 Gig Fujitsu Laptop HD, Arise 865 DC-DC Converter, Lexan Case, Custom Software w/Voice Interface, MS Access Based Playlists
Car: 1986 Mazda RX-7 Turbo (highly modded), 1978 RX-7 Beater (Dead, parting out), 2001 Honda Insight

    Welcome to the club!

Here's a few pics of what I'm up to these days:

The current engine, good for 60 bhp, good for most things, but doesn't quite burn off the rice.

This manky looking lump was good for 74 bhp in it's day, better than a Cooper but still not enough.

This is the head that came off, not sure if it'll go back on or not, it's filthy, but solid and the valve are big uns!

I've got a whole load of mods which I won't bore you all with, how many people here know about A series engines any way? But hopefull it'll be pushing out well in excess of 80 bhp, maybe pushing 90 bhp! Which will place it happilly in S teritory.
And you say people actually pay money for M$ Windows?

Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)

VW 2L aircooled type 4 motor, 44x38 big valve heads fully port & polished, CIS fuel injection (from early golf), Porsche alternator (fan) conversion w/custom shroud and a nice sized cam finished it off.
That was my summer project last year. This year will be fine tuning, replacing the fuel injection lines to braided stlye, and changing the exhaust to something quieter.
