    I hate the post office...

Why in the hell is the post office so damn f'ed up? I had the controller that infrared is selling sent next day priority mail so I could start playing with it (like a kid with a new toy). So what happens, it happens to be raining the first day they try to deliver it, and the Jack *** delivery guy doesn't even come to the door. Just puts the freaking notice in my box saying he tried to deliver it. So today, I drive over to the post office (note says it will be there after 9 am) and wait in line for 30 minutes only to find out that for priority shipments, the always send them out a second time to "try" to deliver it (realize they always come around 3:00 when everyone should still be at work).. So I haul *** home and what do you know, another notice (this time on my door)... I HATE THE POST OFFICE!!!!!

    Sorry, just had to vent..

    Mike

UPS should buy them, they know how to deliver packages on time!

what's going to annoy you even more is that I got mine today and it was sent priority mail.

I say get a box at Mailboxes Etc... that's what I've done and my packages are always there. The postal idiots have no reason to not deliver it there.

Well we have the post office leaving things in our greenhouse. Not that it's obvious since it's made of glass, but also that they walk around the side of your property to put it there!

Then there are the folks that cant be bothered to push things through the letter box properly, or leave things on the front step in full view of everyone!

    We get it all

'round these parts we don't have those kinds of troubles. Fedex, UPS, USPS all the same.. very courteous about the way they do things. A couple of the regular guys know that my mother works nearby so they'll even drop the packages by her some times.

When I order things from abroad the company sends me a postcard telling me to phone them, and we settle for a date and time, and I usually tell them to leave it in the garage if there's no one home

I usually deal through UPS, seem to be pretty good around home and work. It all really comes down to who happens to be in the truck. The delivery person usually will hide my packages pretty well on the front porch, to the side of the steps where from the front all you can see is a bush and then they put our welcome mat over the box if its small enough.

I really appreciate the fact that some people go that extra mile, but since im not home during the day I have never been able to see if its the same person who is delivering.

Just thought i'd add my 2 cents in.

Ups puts the welcome mat over top of my boxes too. Even when I ordered my table saw from sears and the box was waist high, there it was right in front of my door hidden under the welcome mat
