hey guys, as the title states, im making my beer pong table 100% portable, and im building in speakers into the table. the design of the table is done, and it should have enough room for a rechargeable 12v battery. ive watched this for some tips but still have questions

i have 2 options:
1. use a car stereo unit (with ipod plugin) and car speakers
2. use computer speakers and plug ipod directly into cord
im going to buy this battery:

which options would you go with to run this whole system? car speakers would mount easier into the table but a bit more complex, and i would be able to run 4 speakers which would be pretty cool. computer speakers would be far easier, basically identical to the video just mounted into my table.
any suggestions on doing this?

i was thinking something much more powerful, i found this:

and 4 cheap car speakers...would this work? i could plug my ipod directly into that amp with an RCA connector.
yes taht would also work.
you will need to hook the + on the battery to the + on the amp, and then run a switched lead from the + wire to the + switched input (some amps call this the ignition input) and then run the negative from the amp back to the battery.
also, if this is going to be sitting for long periods of time, you might want to disconnect the battery, or hookup another switch to kill voltage to the amp all together (becsaue even if the amp is off, the amp will still draw a small amount of current.).
just make sure that it charges sealed lead acid batteries, and has a cutoff to stop charging, or go into a trickle charging mode after the battery is full.
i just called and they said that battery can only be charged when plugged into a home alarm system. how else can you charge the battery, or si there another one i should buy?
