very nice car
very nice vintage looking Nissan! love to see some sedans still burning up the streets!
Sorry but I thought vintage would be a 260 fairlady?
Not a 300z
Still for some reason I like the 300 body style the best. 2 of my buddies have the latest version. 1 is even a convertible. Sweetness but not a 300
Not yet vintage, it is one of the rare cars that can't get old by their design but by the time elapsing...
Some rust attacked the wing's metal structure...i plan to get rid of the stock foam wing and buy a serious fiber wing but for now i managed to make it look cleaner than what it was below.
I made two plexi parts like this
Shaved the foam that keeps water in it's cells and cured the metal behind
afffixed the first support of plexi to get a plane and regular surface, here checking just to see how it fits
and many adjustments later for a perfect fit the screws are sunk in the plastic.
with a final result not too bad compared to what it used to be
lolo, Japan basically uses different names for most of their cars here.
However, I noticed that the US camry is more of a markII for us here. The Japanese camry version is a .... granpa car.
VW scirocco has a similar problem with it's wing. Somehow moisture gets under the foam and then has a blast rusting out the metal trapped in the moist environment.
I can try to source an original for you but I have a feeling that even over here we'd be having similar problems.
Which wing are you thinking to changing to?
Thank you Sapporoguy, it's very kind of you !!
I found in a uk shop something that doesn't breaks too much the spirit of the car, it looks like this.
Now i have to wait because the part and the shipping is expensive so i probably would have to kill somebody to have enough money to buy it
Ok it's not that expensive but what's the difference between 1 billion and 300 £ when you don't have it, i found none
I have the main piece, the Z, now with patience i will build it like i want part after part
