I raced Mad Jad on Friday

We (the UVA car club) raced the VA Tech car club at Natural Bridge drag strip. It was pretty fun - it was a very slick strip, and it was my first time ever so I didnt do too well. I ran a 13.3 in the 1/8th my first time. I did however manage to run 10.8 the next three times. It was pretty cool.

Reminds me of Ah! My Goddess! (aka Ah! Megamisama!). You probably won't understand unless you are into anime.. and have seen it.

opps, forgot to mention that part, because in a disgrace to mustang owners everywhere I lost . I ran a 13.3 - which is just awful. I got better though!

It is a bunch of fun, isn't it? I remember the first time I raced my Mustang at Englishtown in NJ. It's funny, because it feels like you absolutely tore it up, only to get your slower than anticipated time slip. Your time isn't bad for a first run ever - especially if you have an unmodified motor. According to a chart I looked at, it's an equivalent of about 16.85 in the quarter. Those cars are fairly heavy (read 'really'). Is your car a stick or auto? Have you or do you plan to do anything to the car? I have a friend with a 98 Cobra that he is in the process of dropping in a Novi 2000 on his brand new motor. That car should rip!

yea, it is a stock t-5, i plan on doing everything i can to it

and yea, it was amazingly fun. When i beat this 300zx in another race i was flipping out. SUCH a rush.

Hopefully on a track where i can get traction i will do better.

with 13.3 in an 1/8 mile and he won with TT 300zx, kinda doubtful. TT 300zx runs that in a 1320!!
Unless the driver sucked, missed a gear and got a awful light!

Not trying to take away from the win, cuz I know I cant compete...... yet.

my first race was a 13.3 - thats when i lost to mad jad... that was my first time ever, and i just botched it. i was still reeling from recognizing his license plate.

the rest of my runs I ran 10.8. I still bet the 300zx was NA but it was a very elating kill nonetheless
