I know, I saw this on TV a couple of days back and was like... WOW aswell. I can now see why it took over 600 takes.

The article explains how it was all done. I am actually surprised that it only took 600 takes. It was done in one complete take and was not digitally edited. What you see is actually how it happened. To get that all to happen together is nothing short of amazing!
I think it is the best ad I have seen in a long time. (I might be a little bias, as I am an engineer )

If you guys didn't know already...

The two guys that did that movie have another movie called "The way things work" and it's an entire half hour, all one scene, filmed in a wherehouse of the same concept.

    I'm thinking about buying it...

i had to watch it a couple of times, the best part is how they got the tires to roll up against gravity.

As I understand it the tires were weighted so that they'd roll up.. Imagine how much of a pain it must have been just to get them to sit on the ramp in the first place!

that's what I heard, apparently they're weighted so their center of gravity is very high. When they were rolling up the ramp, their centers of gravity were technically falling.

My girlfriend is on a 3D forum in denmark, where basically the best people in the business show off their talents. Supposedly there are people saying that they know of some computer involvement with the porject, other than the video editing at the end. Not too sure about that myself, will try to dig out some URL's for folks to read.

Either way, Honda: "It just works"
Yeah, but only after 600 odd takes previously
