    electronics info

Does anyone here know a site that has like instructions for building electronoics projects? Like dick smith (tricky dick >8) ) kinda thing , but you get your own components? I can solder and can follow instructions and know enough electronics to get me in trouble but i coulnd "invent" anything. I want to build an fm reciever and transmitter (tricky dick only has reciever. boring) specificly , but i wanna learn to so any projects that catches my eye is good. and i learn best buy doing , not by reading unfortunatly.... made getting my degree that extra bit hard , though entirly my own fault >8)

They are getting harder to find. If you know specifically what you want to build its makes the search easier. I miss the old heathkit stuff.

I think there's one or two sites out there.....

    *cough* aaroncake.net *cough*

    Don't know much about aaroncake.net

These two tend to be quite good aswell:

    http://www.electronickits.com/

    http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Bill_Bowden/
And you say people actually pay money for M$ Windows?
www.mp3mini.co.uk (Does what it says on the URL) www.openclassic.co.uk (The new car, with zero rust!) www.rob-web.co.uk (My other site)
Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)

well the real question is, is it worth it to build?

Most electronic stuff are pretty cheap and packaged nicely. With radioshack sell out (by trying to be the next best buy or circuit city) electronic parts are really hard to buy in stores, have to mail order it. plenty of circuits on the net, but parts are rare.
