    is it expensive to replace camera lcds?

    i have a SONY DSC-P5 and the lcd has a small crack in it, is it expensive to fix?

    i assume you are talking about the lcd display on the back...

    it would probably be cheaper to buy a new camera. i dont know prices on camera lcds, but i assume they wont be too cheap.

    or, if your feeling ambitious, you might just pick up a "broken" camera on eaby... something that takes bad pictures, or has a broken lens, and try scavanging the parts your self... of course you always run the risk of damaging your own camera more, or contaminating the internals with dust or whatnot.
