Electrochromic Windows for vehicles.

will someone do me a favor and make a car with electrochromic windows or maybe even the tail lights so it appears blacked out till i hit break or turn signal or running lights.

Oh and i wonder what the glare is like on these kind of windows. I was thinking perhaps maybe it would be useful for a carpc screen some how? idk just popped into my head.

i am currently subscribed to emails from a maker that seems to be close-- they produce the film used on the g35 in the video above.. there is no way to use that film while driving...

currently, i have not found any manufacturer that makes what i want-- a variable black tint that comes in a film that could be easily applied to any window(some days, i want 30%, and other days, i want 5%)

right now, the demos for flexible lcd/oled screens(oled technically emits light, so it would not work as a tinting film, but would make a awesome HUD) are closest to making things like this a reality, but are not predicted to touch the consumer market until around 2012-15 last i heard...

I did extensive research on this a few months ago, and there are printable materials that would make the film a reality. However it is very costly. Also the problem comes when "cutting" them film. If you squeeze the layers into shorts, you ruin the whole thing.

ill have to read up on what the above videos actually are lol. I post things at random kinda because my mind works that way and later i have to go back and figure out why i did it. I don't see an issue with the possibility of making windows that tint to ones desires.
Whats the problem with not being able to use those windows while driving? lighting problem? or saftey problem?

You guys got me curious about this stuff now I might have to spend some time reading lol. I'd like to learn more about electrochromic windows and films and how they actually work. If it is possible to do it on a house window why not in car? could it be slide controlled on dash? or even on touch screen?

I wonder if they make windows like the glasses that tint in sunlight? sorry i live a simple life. (fb,hulu,porn,craigslist,work,sleep.)

oh what is HUD? sorry ive been away from pc stuff for a long time. I barely remember them just coming out with flexible screens.

oh one more thing..... if they can emit an image off the window or a movie...cant they do the same for a tint? or is the image quality dependent on the windows tint?

this is cool but id like to be able to see out my window. but would be great on my tail lights. Black car and black film. On when light is off. Off when light is on.
