Hi to those with a positive attitude. .)
I've made a better video on this issue, it can be seen at
Please do also read the description.
You are the most dedicated comedian ever.
Comedian? I fail to see the funny side.
Would you explain? But only after sincerely having read my arguments pro netbook via cellphone in car, instead of smartphone.
Oh, so you're not a comedian. Well then, I'd say you're the most dedicated moron ever, but there's probably more dedicated ones than you out there. You'll catch up, though...no worries.
You're either debasing or insulting. You can't see any other way, no? Like dealing objectively with this proposal.
I am dealing with it objectivity. Your proposal is stupid. You're looking to 15 year old technology to accomplish what modern technology can do just fine with readily available equipment.
I explained why what you call 'modern technology' in fact is inferior. But (to quote someone) you hold your hands over you ears, singing 'la-la-la' and claiming you can't hear me.
No, if we let the possibility aside that you are a member of those parts of society who fear they would feel adversely affected if many people preferred 'my formula' over smartphones, then you are probably incapable of comprehending why the classic formula in fact is superior. Don't forget, I know BOTH ways in practice, you as an american only one of them, because the other was never ever offered on your market - they just decided that this is what you get, fullstop.
And then you, like so many of your fellow countrymen, may suffer from that traditional disease according to which everything made by you is by default the best possible in the world. The question then is, if all your products and formulas are so superior to anything else, why do you import anything at all? .)
This has nothing to do with American pride, and everything to do with you just not being able to get anything past the combo of tin foil hat and thick skull.
I'll say this one last time, and then I'm done.
EVERYTHING you want can be accomplished EASILY with modern day technology, which not only gives you the benefits you'd get with your ancient analog junk, but also opens up much more than you ever imagined. Plus, it will look a whole lot cleaner than that pile of rubble you have in your trunk (if those are pictures of your vehicle in those videos you posted). Also, the government is not out to get you, unless you are a criminal. If you are a criminal, then you have good reason to worry about the government being after you, and I hope they catch you. My guess is that you're just a paranoid weirdo, though.
Look: Way back in 1997, I spent several months in the US. It was the time when GSM was starting to myke inroads even in the 'country of the free', and against a lot of mostly emotional resistance.
It was then that for the first time I saw that you didn't have on your market (and you wouldn't get) for handheld phones what was self-evident for the more demanding users in Europe (and Australia, New Zealand); i e a decent carkit which - once correctly mounted - established connections to the car battery, to the audio components (mic, speaker or radio speakers), and - most of all - the external antenna (while switching off the phone's own antenna), the moment you put the phone into the carkit's holder. Also, you could connect your laptop to the phone's modem. All in all a very convincing construction, with the exception of the low 2G data-transmission speeds.
The low-speed problem was solved with 3G. All that was necessary would have been to stick to the traditional formula - it simply is the best. But as power politics-influenced US business decided not to adopt the european quality model, instead introduced a cheap low-quality ('stick-and-run') solution, and europeans' tendency to brainlessly copy anything coming from your latitudes, this effectively meant the end of our quality formula.
No way that a smartphone radiating inside your car is better than the traditional formula:
1) It pollutes your car with radiation, you hardly reach the base station, are consequently heard fluttering only (unless your are real close to a base station), and when there are too many error bits, your connection is cut. Would hardly ever happen with a decent antenna like mine.
2) You have a different operating system than on your computer, need different software, need to get used to all these unneccesary and uninvited novelties, and you need to newly prepare for the worst case. Had you focussed on one technology, the traditional one, you would have saved all these unneccessary efforts.
In one word: You've committed something you're infamous for. In german it's called 'ver-schlimm-besserung' (without the hyphens). Verbesserung would mean improvement, and schlimm means bad/worse, so something like an 'improvement to the worse'. Yeah - that's you.
You yourself, you're not open-minded, and you don't have the practical experience of our traditional formula, in contrast to me, therefore you just don't understand it (again: provided you're not an agent provocateur). This is when your mental programming sets in, according to which everything made inside your boundaries is - well I probably won't have to finish this sentence.
To those more open-minded, interested and capable, I do appeal to give it a serious try. Personally I am not in a situation to produce this, unfortunately, otherwise I wouldn't hesitate a second. What I can do is put the bits and pieces still available together and hope they will work. Like I said, the last problem to solve was the low mic volume of the Audio 2000 system (Funkwerk Dabendorf/FWD). But after initial readyness to assist, they and their swiss importer Celphone withdrew. Also, suddenly my speaker stopped working in connection with FWD's blackbox, without having touched anything there. This leaves only the explanation that the swiss 'stasi' again has intervened - made a call to FWD/Celphone, opened my car during the night and performed changes, in order to create me more problems, in order to discourage me.
Everything points in this direction: The pro-smartphone, anti-netbook + handheld phone decision without ever asking us was taken under government influence (yours was first, most probably), because they fear citizens who are equally well-equipped as they are. They won't get a law passed to prohibit people from having the conventional model in their car, so their 'stasis' unplug those people that resist being force-fed with smartphones. A very old, proven method in secret service circles. You should do some more reading on this subject.
I refuse to be drone-streamlined like most of you, I want what I consider superior, and that is
a netbook connected to a handheld phone's HSPA modem,
both correctly mounted - the netbook in the trunk, with its periphery near the steering wheel; a carkit for the phone with connections to the car battery, mic/speaker (or radio) and MOST OF ALL the external antenna.
Compare the features of this system to those of yours: You can't but admit (even if it hurts) that it is superior in almost every aspect.
Refute me if you can - in details please, without invectives if possible.
