OMG... Diesel's are anything but lighting... even my 300D turbo only has 125 hp, and it weights a lot!

I picked it up this morning. I got the price down to $500 by showing the kbb.com values.

Here's a pic of it next to my '95 SL-600 that I bought on eBay 2 years ago for $32k... now THAT's lightning

    upgrade... 300SD

My old 300TD was recently in a crash. Just body damage, but I figured I'd take the opportunity to "upgrade". I found an '83 300SD (better class Benz) for about the same price. The only problems were a non-functional stereo and a little bondo on the body. When I yanked the stereo I was pleasently suprised that it was just wired wrong. While putting in the deck, I noticed the space under the radio was about the same size as my xenarc display. I yanked the ashtray and a small change pocket and WHAM! The xenarc fits! I'll eventually do some minor work to extend the case up around the radio and fill in the side and bottom gaps, but this puppy fits like it was MADE for the spot! no side-to-side wiggle, and minor pressure to fit it in. Now I just have to run the wires back to the trunk for the 'puter.

Those who wanna convert to veggie power and their car is hardly worth much...DONT BOTHER. What I mean is the conversion will cost more than the car

Just pour the rapeseed vegetable oil in the tank. As long as the mixture is around 50% vegtable oil and 50% diesel then you should be fine.

I been running my friends car for half a year now on 50% veg oil, I push it to 80% now and again. And this is right now, winter at around maybe 5degc, no problem in starting the car at all.

Best to start off with 25% then start increasing it as much as you can.

The most mileage I done is around 800-900 miles running on 80% oil. Saves alot of money

Funny we run out of fuel once, and didnt quite make it to the station. The fuel station is already closed and the next one is like 2 miles away. We saw a supermarket, bought 9 liter of veg oil, pour it in and away we go again
