    Talking Installer

Im installing Window shades for a Jersey City based Company. Make decent money. Now collecting to move out of parents home. Carputer on the way in the mail. Hope to get it ASAP.
Since i have joind this forum, got addicted to carpcs. I'm in my car for about 7-9 hours a day, made 17 000 miles the last five months, so a carpc is pretty reasonable. Dont you think?

    Everyone Be happy!!!

    Systems Engineer

I work for a company that sells computer systems to retailers, as well as the software for inventory management, point-of-sale, barcode scanners, label printers, etc.
I wear all the IT hats. I fix computers, repair data, train, troubleshoot, etc.

It's cool because I work out of my home and if I have to leave, I get paid mileage.
I'm still nursing at the IT teat while it's in this country, fortunately....
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Managing Director for a IT Support/Web Development Company

I work in the UK, normally from home, running my IT Support/Web Development company. We specifically specialise in online web applications from content management systems to integrating client databases.

I am in the process of rolling out a new content management system to a software testing company in London at the moment, so we must be doing something right!

I wanted a car PC in my car, and figured CarPC's are something that I could offer my clients. We also do music editing PC builds, PVRs etc.

I hope to start giving something back to this forum... in the form of a tutorials website.

I'm the regional IT manager for a pretty big global company. Not nearly as cool as you'd think it is. My official title is "network technologist" ... whatever the hell that means.

Me and one other guy support everything from the switches to the end user PCs for about 450 people in 7 offices acrous the southeast. It used to be pretty fun, but lately it's more of a hassle. I can't even buy a server anymore without getting the "Corporate Architecture Team" to sign off saying they approve the purchase.

Oh do I have stories. Right now I'm trying to buy a NAS ... money's budgeted, easy enough right? Nope. The arc team wants to have their say ... so here the project is, on hold for over 3 months waiting for them to make up their mind. Meanwhile my servers are at capacity.

So that's that. I think I'll be moving on soon.
