    TV Licences

This ones for those of you who are in England... Just wondering about in car television and if you have to pay for a TV Licence for it. I know you have to for your house but what about your car? That would be funny if they were scanning for who doesn't have one and they see one getting closer and closer haha

    We get taxed for everything

We have the BBC, which is a non-commercial station, and the TV licence pretty much pays for the BBC. You only need one per household, no matter how many TVs you have.

We used to have the same thing in Sweden, and the goverment had a special department driving around with equipment to detect if you had a TV and was not paying the TV fee. Can you say big brother syndrome......

your home liscence covers your car because it is not a permanent address, same as if you have a caravan with a tv.

It is tied into the house number/post code.

They have a database of all houses in the country, and whether they've paid or not. If not, then they send people round to investigate and see if there is a TV in the house that can recieve terrestrial broadcasts. If they do, they fine.

That's how I believe it works. I doubt they have "people in black vans"
