    M$ Flight Sim?

Have you played it? Do you like flight sims?

I've had FS2002 for quite a while, but just recently realized how many different aircraft and sceneries you can download for free. Here's a shot of me flying the Millennium Falcon from Detroit Metro (airport near my house). I should have got a shot of me firing the cannons at one of the destroyers from Independence Day (another free download). It's 16 miles in diameter and hovering over NYC.

I fly Flight Sim. I used to fly 98 and now have moved up to 2004 A Century in Flight. I absolutely love flying flight sim. Not to mention, I'm a pretty good sim-pilot.

This site has many planes, sceneries and extras that you can install and modify. Really useful source.

I've also taken out all of the 'airlines' that FS uses and added my own AI (Artificial Intelligence) airlines. Just adds another spec of realism to the simulator. Real traffic conditions, more ATC traffic and conversations, etc.

You can also become a member of a virtual airline. Some are better suited for beginners and are 'easier' to do. Others are very strict.

Have fun flying. Don't shoot my plane!

I have MSFS2K and I love it, but I really have a hard time enjoying it without the right equipment. Fry's sells a yoke and pedals for $100 a piece that I'd love to have. My $5 goodwill joystick just doesn't cut it.

I didn't really get interested in it until I worked at a company that built air traffic control simulators. Now *that's* a blast. Three 110" screens and a full console of monitors in front of me. The voice rec was incredible and the whole scenario could be completed by voice alone. Get two people in there acting as ground and approach handing off strips and it is an absolute blast.
