Angry 2 tickets in 3 weeks. Those points are adding!

Hi guys i got 2 ticket in 3 weeks one was for loud music and second one is one i got last firday $270.00 going 55 in 90, but i didnt hit more then 85Mph because i was looking at the my gauge the whole time. On the ticket it says PACE that mean she followed me at same speed which cant be right because there were 2 cars behind me and she cut them off to pull me over, so how the hell did she pace me? i dont know. I was told i can beat Pace ticket in court. I read more about how to beat speeding ticket then i read in a year, but i want to know if anyone got a ticket and they were pace and what they do to beat it in court?..
Any comments can help.. My insurance is going to drop me if i get this 4 points

If you're in a big city and you go to court they may give you the option of just paying the ticket and having the number of points reduced. That's how it works here in Atlanta. Also I wanted to mention a cop can pace you without being directly behind you. Good luck....

Was the loud music considered a moving violation? It shouldn't effect your insurance if it was not. For the speeding ticket, just bite the bullet and get a traffic lawyer. It's going to be cheaper in the long run for him to "take care of it".

Based on my experience your best option is: getting the traffic lawyer, pay him $$ let him do the rest, most of the time he'll drop points (so you wont lose any) and reduce the violation to burnt headlight bulb or similar.

Ask your friends to recommend you someone, and you'd be set.

Well as a previous poster has mentioned I would get a lawyer ... you are looking pretty good if you didnt get any tickets before that and a good lawyer knows how to play that card. Pacing is total BS. It is hard for someone to pace you without you noticing it. They need to spend a considerable time driving along with you to determine an approximate speed. Or they can also be driving the legal speed and you can be zooming by in which case they can clearly determine that you were going faster. When a ticket says PACE it usually means that the radar gun was not used !!! It is hard for anyone to prove in court how fast you were actually going. But again I would get a lawyer to fight that fight. It would be the lawyers duty to argue that you were going 65 in a 55 zone and not 90 in a 55 zone. Etc etc ... so get a lawyer and just look at it this way the fee for the lawyer may not cost you as much as you would pay in the increased insurance and another thing ... You will never know for what period of time that ticket information is stored in the insurance database and who that is shared with ... therefore even after a loong time you might be getting screwed on your insurance because of something you did in the past.

fight it, i causually paid off my tickets, and 2 weeks ago in the mail i got a letter from the DMV asking me to mail them my license and it will be suspended for 90 days. You might even get to negotiate a deal with the DA to work some community service.

Don't let them screw you into taking no points. Yes no points on your license, but insurance company sees you pled guilty to speeding and you'll get a rate hike. Trust me (Happened to me and sis works for a ins. company). Try your hardest to get it dismissed period. If the prosecuter is being a *****, keep rescheduling your court date (trial) and ask for a bunch of discovery (specific info about your case). Will end up costing them more $$ and time than the ticket is worth. Your final hope is to go to court and hope the cop no shows. Usually the cops have it in they're schedules to go to court on Monday or Fridays.

I got pulled over a ****load of times for a ****load of things, I beat most of it by doing the above. Just don't be intimidated by those prosecutors.

Just call in and ask if you can have it moved to a non-moving violation. You will pay the
same fine and most of the time they will do it. Done it in several states with no problem.
