    video converter?

    i play games on my ps2 and i want to use my pc monitor for both pc and ps2. so i need a tv to vga converter. or in other words composite video(the one with yellow red and white wires) to vga converter. how can i build one. please help me anyone. can i do it myself.
    if yes then post the schematics for the circuit.

    i know i can buy the commercial ones but building one myself will be more fun!

    I use a scan converter called a Cheese Box. Works good.

    I think it sells for about US$70-80.

    Well, you can just buy a converter box for $40 from ebay. But if you're into that kind of thing (soldering and such) then go for it. I would check my monitor for "synch on green" function on the Internet before attempting anything. The plan sure sounds easy.

    Not sure what connectors the PS2 has.

    In your first post, you said you needed to convert composite to VGA. The link you posted last, converts component (not composite) signal to VGA.

    Do you have component connectors on the PS2? Or a converter to go from composite to component?
