Vote!

I just want to get the message out there, for everyone that can, register to vote! One thing my substitute teacher always said was "The only people who elect bad presidents are people who don't vote". Make your voice heard! This isn't meant to be a thread on who to vote for, just register and vote for whomever you support. More votes were cast for American Idol this year (granted you can vote more than once) than in the last general election.
Again, this isn't meant to debate on who to vote for, but to encourage people to let their voices be heard. I know the electorial college has the final word, but you can make a difference.

Because the proposed idea counts 14 year olds as 1/4th a vote, 16 year olds 1/2 a vote, then 18 is a full vote. The idea of half/quarter votes for kids is bad because where do you draw the line. Do Women get a quarter vote then? Minorities? I hope it doesn't fly. Oh and for a more humurous take, click "Barely Legal"

WHAT? That's discrimination, BAN HIM!

I don't think 17- should be able to vote at all. No one that age has any idea what is good for the country, and its a tactic to get votes for a President like Bush wants to do "Open Immigration" so all the mexicans vote for him.

Voting. Oh and there's a proposed system in the states that will allow 14/16 year old kids to vote. But their votes will only be partial votes, like a half or a quarter vote. I was making a point that if this system is implemented, where would the government draw the line? Would the partial votes then affect other races? It's not a good idea.

Oh give me a break...There are many 17s that have more wits than some housewives that shops on the home shopping network and believes all the propoganda the media is feeding them... I'll say they are more dangerous selecting the wrong person than teenagers that would most likely debate these issues in school.

So I don't feel they should have portion of a vote...That's definetely discrimination of age...I'll say if they're smart enough to debate and discuss it in schools/friends...they should allow to vote.
