I've only had a chance to load the OS onto the setup, but it seems to be running fine so far. Thanks for the opportunity to 'take it off your hands'Just the carputer (Ver. 3) w/ TS Lilliput about $800. If you include the sound system...about 1900 total.
HEY SINNERG!!! How's that Samba working out for ya?

My next generation Front End is right on schedule.
It will be done sometime in the next generation.

I am for hire!
Ain't that the truth! I don't know how much "Thank you's" are going for these days.. but I'm sure it's still not enough to cover your 'living expenses'.Originally Posted by frodobaggins

BTW, I'm not posting how much I've spent so far. If my girlfriend saw that, there would be no more 'carpcnoobie'. Instead there would be a new screen name.. 'diamondringnoobie'.![]()

getting close on 2 grand sterling id imagine
Unpleaseantly close to 2500 usd incl sound, sound approx 1000 usd.
different setups
1 keyboard only, 200 mhz
2 keyboard and character display (4x20), 400 mhz
3 keyboard and composit screen this is where it starts to cost me, 400 mhz
4 same but with a pocketpc to control it.
5 touch screen, epia m10000
i have destroyed/fried 2 gps modules at present (be carefull about the wiring) thinking about a bluetooth version.
Most of the cables are not things the local electronic store carries so it cost quite a bit in delivery.
funny thing about this, is its a hobby project and has never had the system running in the car for a complete week(without failures of some kind)
On the plus side this has tought me valuable lessons in computer interfacing, pocketpc programming etc. And the worst part is i still like it, and im still ready to put more money into the project (when i can get my hands on it).
