Ok, the following prices are in AUD (most of the parts were secondhand):

    Kenwood 9016 Headunit: 100
    7" Screen TM-701L in indash housing: 100
    2 x 12" subs in carpeted box: 200
Rockford Fosgate amp for subs: Free
    Epia 800 Motherboard + 512MB RAM: 200
    Laptop HDD: Free
Panasonic Slotload slim DVD/CDRW: $22 (was sent by mistake, i wasnt going to complain)
    IDE adapters/cables etc: 50
    Morex Car PSU: 130
    Slim Keyboard: 25
    Mouse: 25
    Case for PC: 2
    GPS: 30 (building it myself)
    ---------------------------------------
    Total: AUD$884 (US$650)

I dont know if i've missed anything, but for a complete system, i am very happy! Especially considering we pay at least 30% (usually 50%) more for computer hardware/accessories in Australia (compared to the US)

Added. Changed your's to $900 according to this site. Still in the same bracket, though.

I'm afraid to add all the receipts, but I know it's roughly $2000.

I’ve spent just over $2000. Plus I have recurring monthly fees of $40 ($10 for XM and $30 for dedicated wireless Internet connection)
