sorry to say but KITT is overpriced at $40,000 and it doesn't come with KITT's computer. just the display panels hehe. so that's another $1000-$2000 to install a carputer inside and buy KITT's voice module.

the same shop is selling Magnum PI's Ferrari and it's only $60,000!

There is a guy out there selling refurb kits to mod out a Firebird (body/dash/interior) to look just like the car in the show, with the exception of the voicing of course. However, the voice modulation indicator (the lights that flashed with KITT's voice) work with the stereo as an EQ display.

Everything else, including the two indash monitors, works (or at least beeps and lights up when you hit the buttons).

The Chrysler Turbo Interceptor was built especially for the movie The Wraith, starring Charlie Sheen. There were only three or four built, and each one was worth well over a million bones. As the story has it, Charlie (and everyone else on the film crew for that matter) was not allowed to so much as touch the car. Chrysler's hired stunt driver was the sole person deemed worthy of sitting behind the wheel. You get one of those cars, and you got yourself a collector's item that is truly one in a million. (Or is that one FOR a million??)

    Yeah I remember the days....
There's actually a website for Knight Rider fans to show their KITT replica's, including contact addresses for the dash builders, etc. Can't find the site on my faves now..(doh ) but there were a lot of them!
