Huh?
Anyone have a 6800? I'm looking to buy one but I need to work a waterblock into the design. I'm not liking the DD block so much. Anyone?

Just curious...Why are you going with the 6800 as opposed to an x800 or something of the like?

Doom 3 ROCKS with the 6800 and 6900 cards:-) saw their live demos at QuakeCon 2004:-)

Yup. Though, I'm running a 6800, overclocked a bit, but it's not a GT or Ultra. With Doom3 at 1280x1024 and full details, I've hit framerates around 23 fps, so it can be a bit choppy. I usually play at a lower resolution with high details. If I turn AA down it's better, but thats no fun.Originally Posted by kandyman676
I have a BFG card. There is TONS of overclocking room in mine. I've hit ridiculous overclocks but they dont last, I get some artifacts and eventual freeze because of heat. I'm currently looking into a waterblock for my set up. I might employ someone in the forum for help with manufacturing one, as I don't really like the Danger Den one and that seems to be the onlyone available at this time.
hmm. check out koolance also for water cooling. they make a pre fab one, but at least you know it works! they make water blocks for your CPU, GPU, harddrives, and co-processor. using their stuff on my AMD 64 3200+ running at a cool 77 degrees F and 90 inside.
the 6800 leaves lots for overclocking room in it. and the SLI makes it even more to look twice at.

Silly answer: No - I threw away my Commodore 64 long ago.
He he. I thought you were talking about the old Motorola processor! I was about to tell you to look on RS or Farnell's websites - they're still used for some stuff, you know.
Have fun,
Darryl.
