My fix for the VW VR6 shifter problem.......

Well, after having replaced the “shifter rod” /”change over valve” 3 times at approximately every 20,000 miles, I finally got sick paying $65 each time.
So before I installed the shifter rod the 3rd time, I sat down and measured it up. Well 20k later it’s time to replace it again, but I did not feel for paying another $65. I passed on the CAD file to my local machine shop, and had them make it for me out of HD Delrin (Good for low speed “bearings”, chemically resistant, good thermal properties).
