OK...here goes.
First 5 people to PM the correct answer and thier current email addy gets a gamil invite.
3 traveling salesman have to stop for the night while on the road. They stop at a hotel and decide to share a room to split the cost up. They are informed the price of the room is $30. So they each had the man behind the counter a $10 bill.
Later that night the manager stops in to check in on things and notices that there is a error. The prices of rooms had dropped from $30 to $25 dollars. So the manager hands the bell-hop 5 $1 bills. He tells him to go and give the salemen thier refund.
On the way to the salemens room the bellhop decides that splitting $5 between 3 people is too hard. So the bell-hop decides to pocket $2 for himself. He then gives each salesman back $1.
Here is the question.
Each salesman paid $10 and recieved $1 back. That makes for $9 each that the salemen paid. But remember that the bell-hop took $2. So $9 times 3 people is $27....plus the $2 the bell-hop took and that added to the $27 is $29. What happened to the other dollar?
Here is the math by itself:
9x3=27
27+2=29
Figure out where the last dollar went and get a gmail account....don't forget...PM only for answers...don't post them here. And make sure and include the email account to send the invite too.

hmmm this reminds of the one where 3 guys go to an electrical store to but a tv costing £30, they each pay £10, manager makes a mistake tells the sales assitant its reduced to £25 , gives him the £5 to give back, he pockets £2, and gives the 3 guys £1 each.
10-1 3 times = £27
£2 in pocket! = £29 huh??

They paid $27 for the rooms, counting the two stolen by the bell-hop. You counted the $2 twice.
They initally paid $10 each.
In reality, they paid $8.34. But the bell-hop took $2.
3 * 8.34 ~ $25
$25 for the room
3 in change given to the saleguys
+ 2 pocketed
----------
$30
no money lost

Heres my version...
Initially all 3 salesmen paid $10 each :
3x10 = 30
But each one received $1 back so in effect they only paid $9 each :
3x9 = 27
The bell hop took $2 :
27-2 = 25
The hotel get the $25
25+2 = 27 = The total paid by the salesmen, so no money is lost
Here is the math by itself:
9x3=27
27+2=29
