If you are going to put carputer in the civic, get a year 2000 or up model. It is easier to put 7" monitor in-dash.
BAH! civics are a dime a dozen up here and i've maybe seen 2 i would even consider driving. My car still owns them all day long. The RSX is a MUCH better choice and definately my pick from honda/acura line SRT-4's are pretty good too if you can find a cheap one. And don't give me that Auto versus manual crap i manually shift my auto all the damn time (its the only way to get the most out of the gear)
last week a kid with an accord wagon has his whole stereo system stolen up at walmart during dusk and nobody saw a thing, so don't bet on 4 doors saving you from theft
My anti-theft is my car, nobody wants a "2 door lumina"![]()

first, i've wanted one of this generation of civic wagon since they came out when i was still too young to drive. when i found this one for $1200 with a newly replaced stock engine, i couldn't turn down the opportunity.Originally Posted by lgbr
second, the civic wagon is fairly rare in the US, especially the later ones. they weren't good sellers in the US, and they stopped selling them here. however the rest of the world kept getting civic wagons.
third, they are suprisingly agile and responsive, and are also almost perfectly balanced at 51/49(%front/rear). optional realtime 4WD was also a big plus. it has the same wheelbase as the civic hatchback, and is only 4" longer.
fourth, they are almost 1000 lbs lighter than an accord wagon of the same year, and have virtually the same upgradability. 91 civic wgn = 2335 lbs, 91 accord wgn = 3155 lbs
fifth, have you seen accord wagons? they are quite unsightly. i love my accord, but the wagons are hideous.
too much information?![]()
Just out of interest, Honda have just released another cool advert in the uk. Go here and click 'watch the film'
Pretty catchy tune!
that was pretty messed up, but it is a very catchy toon!

That ad pwned.
@gutterslide: Then 91-93 Wagons were awesome. 94-97 was ok, but anything else was bleh. Civic wagons look like little boxes. In fact, the wagons that are good are the same year as your accord, so you could probably sell yours and use the same parts.
@faichiu: you mean 2001+ civics
@Hcomplyr: He should have had an alarm, and shame on him for being at wal mart.

Does anyone know anything about body molding,
If I buy one like this, http://www.carsoup.com/used/detail.a...ID=&UVViewID=4
but I want it to look like this...

How much work do you think would entail?
what would I have to do?

That'd cost you 600-1000 dollars to do. You replace the bumpers and the side moldings with side skirts. Its called a 'body kit'Originally Posted by bosstone74

Can you get them painted? Or is it more involved than just slapping them on?
