Thread: *rant* So... whats with the civics?

If you come to SoCal then you will stop complaining about everyon on their Civics try to race with you.
Yes, my family member did own a 98 Civic, and I have nothing against the car. Just the suckers behind the wheel. The car is freaking good for city driving especially with gas milleage and somewhat reliable.
Seriously how can you race with a Civic DX with just a coffee can muffler and tons of sticker? Some civics owners also go extreme with turbos their civics, but I don't see the point of turboing the civics. Sell it and get the S2K or RSX if you like honda.
Sometimes, there are coffee can muffler Civics do want to race with me in my Supra. I just laught.

its not entrapment. when a cop goes and buys drugs from a dealer. they bust the dealer. that is not entrapment.
when a cop pulls up in an unmarked car and offers a girl a ride, then asks if she would sck him off for a hund bucks, she says yes. she gets busted. thats not entrapment.

so revving your engine on the line. getting someone to race you and bust them. is not entrapment.

sheesh guys read a book.... it helps.

Entrapment is where you force someone into an illegal act. Nothing is forcing them to race, other than their ego.

I am ashamed to see these kids in their ricer civics on the street, but I rarely see any. Civics are very good cars, and even better for racing. Unfortunately movies like the Fast and the Furious come out and give them the wrong idea. Since they can't own Italians they have to have the next best thing.

As far as the turbo goes, you can buy a d-series engine with VTEC for about $500, and put a turbo on it for less than any engine from and Integra or Civic SI. Turboing a civic can produce a lot of power for a very very small amount of money.

I lived in Nashville for 5 years, and during that time, the police had a tricked out BMW with limo tint that they had confiscated and turned into an unmarked police car. They went around inciting people to race, then busting them. Someone (I think it was a lawyer, if I remember correctly) with plenty of money and time, appealed his ticket in court. He also got several other victims involved. The end result was that it was ruled to be entrapment. The police department was fined, warned, and forced to give up the BMW at auction. No book needed for this, I lived through it.
