As long as good things come from religion (whatever religion it may be), who can be against it? Helping children or a fellow mp3car member are good things.

My religion is a personal one, and rather unique I guess, but it strives for honesty and good. It makes me help other people and work for a better world, where ever I can, how little it may seem sometimes...

Eatyummypuppies' posts, I believe, tend to do the same, as he wants to protect us from the sometimes evil side of man that comes out in religion too...

Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot et al could have said the same thing. You have defined "good" as "helping other people and working for a better world." This is a common error, the logical resultant of which is a philosophical monstrosity analogous to the possessed ten-story Stay Puff Marshmallow Man: Obliviously and with a smile, he barrels through the streets rendering wanton death and destruction. People are crushed by tons of sugary marshmallow goodness.

Read a book. Yes, it's more difficult reading than the bible and yes, you will have to visit dictionary.com a few times. The existence of mysticism of any type after Nietzsche and Ayn Rand is testament to the world's apathy.

In his own mind, Hilter was right, and under his dictatorship they had no freedom. Our freedom and Christianity are what America was built on and what separates us from becoming something like that. I’d rather fight for our freedom than allow anything to be taken away. Even if it starts with Christianity, it won’t stop there. If you look at any other country that won’t allow it, you’ll see a third world **** hole that you wouldn’t want to live in. To me, that’s the bigger picture. But anyway, you have the freedom to disagree.

The best way to eliminate something is to turn the people against it through hate and fear and let them do it to themselves so they can't blame it on anyone. That's the way propaganda works. Look at all the election propaganda. Don't you hate/fear one or the other? We learn to use what works, I guess.
