Man, I'm seeing so much of those frigging types of misspellings nowadays, and I can't believe the retarded misuse of apostrophe's <----inentional

I've been seeing the apostrophe misuse on professional billboards and storefront signs, for pete's sake! Is general society so damned stupid that even the proofreaders think this kind of crap is proper?

    "SALE! All Sock's 50% Off!"
"Get free installation with purchase of computer part's!"

    Asses....

Incidentally, my brother stumbled on a new thing as well. Not just inverting letters in simple words, but inverting whole words. Instead of "barn sale" it's "bran slae" or "prak" for "park" More funny to say than to read, but that's all it really is.

Teh is part of a few different misspellings that originated from honest typos while typing madly in messengers before the other person cut you off in the middle of your tirades. It simply caught on, and is now related to leet-speak, or l337-sp3ak if you're one of THOSE nerds.

"OMG I just got teh new cell phon cuz it rawks!!!!!1!one!! It's teh c00lz0rz!!"

I read about that study that showed that as long as the first letter or so is correct, the brain compensates and makes sense out of the rest of it to put it in context, which is how l337sp34k even works in the first place.

Holy crap though, can you imagine trying to read street signs like that? People who know better would be so distracted by trying to determine if that spelling really IS correct, that they won't even remember the name that they were supposed to be reading in the first place! Ack.

Thanks Hilary Clinton for your "It Takes a Village" and "Cat can be spelled 'kat' if that's how you feel it should be spelled". Biatch. You started a frigging war on English. Slut.
