    electric circuit question

    hey guys i'm having a brain fart....

    say i have something that grounds a terminal for 2 seconds and i only want it to be a quick ground, like 30 seconds tops, how can I shorten that grounding circuit up??

    i thought i could use a pot but that doesn't seem to be working

    I think you are in the wrong thread...

    Anyway, it depend if you have full access to the circuit.

    Delay circuit normally use a resistor and capacitor to control the timing.

    If you can find this 2 item, you can either lower the value of the resistor or the capacitor or both...this should then give you a shorter delay.

    How and where did you connect the pot? whats the circuit based on? 555 timer?
