Do you still have the panels out? If not, take them back out and look around. You answered your own question "I'm pretty sure power got disconnected from the actuator". Shouldn't be to hard to find.
(Guess that's not much help though, is it?)![]()
So I was removing the stock panels from the trunk of my 2001 Jetta 1.8T and now all of a sudden my trunk release switch and my keyless remote don't work anymore. The trunk release doesn't even make a noise, so I'm pretty sure power got disconnected from the actuator.
Does anyone know what harness or better yet what wires are for the trunk release. Or even where to find wiring info for my car? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

yeah, panels are still out. The trunk is stripped to the metal. And all visible harnesses are plugged in. I traced back the wire bundle that goes into the trunk lid and everything appears alright.
One more thing I just noticed the power windows don't work either, this just isn't my day I guess. I'm thinking maybe it's a fuse but so far I haven't found anything blown. And I don't know why that would cause my remote not to work. Especially when using the door switches for the locks does work.
