Sorry to hear about your troubles. I often yell at other drivers on my way to work, they cant hear me but it makes me feel better.

Same here Yellow always means gun it before it turns red.
Yell all you want, I do it all the time, it calms my nerves.

I was in Brazil last year. Driving is a bit different than in the USA.

For one thing, a light can be flashing yellow for both roads, at an intersection, at the same time. I only realized this when it came time to make evasive manuevers! It wasn't all that close, but it was totally unexpected.

You don't stop at red lights in the late night either. They are treated more as a yield sign. It's a good idea to leave yourself alternative directions to go, should you need to leave the intersection in a hurry (in case of ambush - I am serious).

WTF. and why would you not get insurance involved? you could get the money to fix the damage to your car and say you will get it fixed with your own mechanic, and just never get it fixed and pocket the $$ for your car puter!

ESPECIALLY if the other person was driving a company car...they will not fight it and blaime it on the guy. and his insurance will not go up nor yours. so what is there to loose? that's what you freakin pay insurance for, get some back.

Thanks for your advice. The damage consisted of a broken trim piece around the hitch, some scraped paint, sugary goo, and some jarring of subwoofers and amps. Nothing I would put any price tag on. Though I should have demanded a professional cleaning job from him for the dash!

I grabbed his info, but didn't make too much of a deal about it. He seemed pretty shooken up, which may encourage him to drive a little more sensibly in the future.

And while I must admit that I occasionally goose it at yellows, I also am always the first one out at greens! If I'm looking to "upgrade" to a newer car - watch out...

Sorry, but I seriously doubt he'll drive any safer now that this occurred. I'm pretty sure he started talking all kinds of **** once you both drove off b/c he felt like he pulled one over on you. The only way to make this kid learn is to cost him something...If that something happens to be the cost of an interior detailing or even his job, then so be it.

I agree. and the only real way to do that is go through insurance or threaten to go through insurance. make him cough up like $500 or so to save his job. ahh, extortion, its great!

I think I'm going to move to Germany. They have this law that says you can't pass on the left. Hence, it's also illegal to be in the left lane holding up traffic. That law alone would force 95% of MN drivers to drive smarter!

Same law in Colorado now.

Does it work? NO, but if I were a cop I would be pulling people over for it rather than speeding ALL THE TIME. So remember in Colorado unless you are activly overtaking another vehicle, you must remain in the right lane while on any open interstate with speed limit of 75 mph. It does not include areas such as Denver where the speed limit drops below 75 mph.
