Also, does anyone know what the chances are that I'll get the door and quarter panel replaced, and not repaired? I'm not too keen on keeping the fked up parts, since the door is no longer properly aligned.

If its a lease then are you driving on their insurance or your own? if it is yours the cheque should come back to you. Contact the insurance and get a quote and see if they will pursue the other persons insurance - maybe they will get you a rental but i doubt it as normally that comes as part of your policy. Give the police a ring and see whats going on.
T-cut is an abrasive paste that you can use to buff out light scratches and is useful in getting rid of black marks of people bumpers or other peoples paint.
It's probably on ebay by now!

I think i park more with my driver side against the curb so i point out of the road ont he side next to my house so it is actaully my driver mirror that is more use!Hmm... for you folks across the pond that might work.. but for me it's the wrong side to help out with parking.Cops are gonna start lookin at me real weird if I start driving on the left side of the road.. lol

Got the police report. Plain and simple description accident description: "VEH #1 SIDESWIPED VEH # 2. OFFICER DID NOT WITNESS."
I'll see if I can track down the other guy's insurance after I get a preliminary estimate. Looks like he might have one of those "bargain" insurance carriers, since I can't find out who his carrier is via the insurance code # on the accident report. I'll have to call the DMV tomorrow and find out what company it is.
