The mystical # thing looks interesting except when you realize it just changes the symbols to try and distract you each time.
To make a little more sense it boils down to the first digit * 10 - first digit:
First digit = A, second = B
(A*10)+B-A-B = A*10-A -> 90-9;80-8;70-7;.....
Ex:
98 -> 9*10+8-9-8 = 90-9 = 81
The resulting number will always be 9 times something....
9,18,27,36,45,54,63,72,81

And yes I'm bored....and no I don't like math...hate it actually. :P

Thats exactly how it works. I took me a few try to figure that out, then it wasn't cool any more.
