That sound about right for the left coast.

Oh, and about the outside thing. You have been there. I saw you there. Do you remember the Atlanta meet? Well that was outside. I did a lot of research on the internet before I realized what/where the outside was, so you can trust me on this one.

See ya at the next meet!
    It's the cake having/eating thing.

Hmm, while you are on a topic of geographical bashing, let me pitch in.
So I live in California. This is not my home state, neither is it my home country for that matter. I've lived in two other countries before moving here. Now my parents near Philly which is on the "right" coast. This so called "City of Brotherly Love" provides them with so much entertainment they are planning on packing and leaving as soon as possible.

    Here is just a story:
A couple walks into a restaurant and a waitress (of Russian origin, been here for 10 years) serves them. They tell her "We want to talk to your manager" right after they are sitted. When manager comes, they tell him "We do not want to be served by anyone that has an accent." And the manager kisses their asses and obliges their bigoted request. The story repeats itself numerous times with that waitress, and many other ones. This all happens in the exceptionally nice neighborhood near Philly, the so called Main Line. You got the "cream" of the nation living there... white people that just about have heart attacks when they hear a person (especially white) not speaking english with the correct kidn of accent.

And here I am in Cali, no one gives a damn what my accent is and I am yet to have anyone turn away from me because I have one. Yet my parents deal with that everyday.

Moral of the story? Off topic is all nice and dandy, but I would definitely recommend against flaming, if you are going to start dissing an area just because of some silly laws, you will have another flame war that will result in nothing but lots of angry people. You like your area, good, stay there, we will all be better for it.

P.S. In case anyone has missed it, burglary alarms go off when no one is home, so guns or no guns, there is no one there to stop the burglary, so the laws, as silly as they might seem, are not as counter-intuitive as the site is trying to make them out to be. After all, the site is obviously biased (and so am I, and so are the other people answering this thread). So just think for yourself.

Could be true (especially for those that forget their codes) yet not as frequent as other false alarms, and when it does happen, you just call them up and say that you are being dumb. They are probably used to it
If someone is pulling a heist on your *** while you are inside and you have your alarm armed and "hunting" M16 lock and loaded... I am damn sure those guys got enough lead candy to counter act you with, in which case you should not have been selling drugs to begin with

So, what you're saying is, the only people who get robbed are drug dealers? WTF is wrong with you?

Oh, now after re-reading that I get it. If you're not a drug dealer, then you shouldn't try to defend yourself because they might shoot back. Gotcha.

Whoa! Seems like you could not take a joke even if it was given to you on top of a naked Charlize Theron!!! Or do you take life so seriously that your friends stopped telling you jokes loooong ago and you don't even know what that means? And no, I don't think yo were "just kidding too."

Ease up pal. I think the thread here has the potential to become a little flame war, but since I was not quite willing to participate in "my state is better" argument, I just made a silly comment (if you re-read it, the only sillier thing than the comment is someone actually taking it seriously.) Watch out for those silly comments you know, one moment you are fine, the next moment before the alarms go off, you look like an overly uptight... wizard.

Well the great thing is that people who live here in CA love it, and those that don't, well, they don't. Which is why they should not move here. Cause we wouldn't want them here in the first place (and obviously, they don't want to be here either). Every place has its pros and cons. And there are fanatics in every state. Doesn't mean everyone thinks or believes the same way as they do.
