a friend of mine had a 950hp LS1 Camaro...his wife made him get rid of it cause she was afraid of it...he saw it on a flatbed in a V shape a week later.

    Sad story

So, did the V shape come from the frame flexing after all the torque?

IF your refering as to me, think again. I've recieved some of the highest training in auto racing from Dodge Motorsports racing indy carts. I'm an ASE Certified Mechanic and I own a Domestic/Performance shop named nFinite Tuning. I have some of the best direct prices you can possibly think of. I have allways owned fast cars, one including a 11 second Eclipse GSX with a super 60trim turbo, fmic and ALOT of other goodies. It walked. My first 3rd gen accord was turbocharged, but I lost my job and had to sell it. The previous one was supercharged, but I blew the engine and have been building a new race engine. The shop isn't doing soo well so thats why I'm getting this job. I need a new car, NEW, not used. I need that Waranty....I need something that I'm going to be sure that it wont break down the next day unlike my GSX and LXI. I want a car I'm going to enjoy for the entire time I own it. If its an Evo, I do not care to mod it with nothing except like a carputer for a VERY long time. If I get anything else, I'm going to be too tempted to mod it, just to get it somewhat fast. tC, SRT, 300ZX....RX7...I will WANT and NEED to mod it. I dont need to on an Evo, its a damn reverse 4G63 with a 16G turbo. It should hold me over for a good 4 years or more. I will bet all of you this car, that I most likely will not mod it till around 4 years MINIMUM. Meaning anything that will void waranty.

yeah 30k is a damn good price for something that has 9k miles on it. I'd rather have 15 miles on it...but that means adding on 5grand. The guy has not responded to my emails or phone calls. So, I guess he dont wanna sell it or has a stalker lol.

Also: wait! I had to search 2-3 months before I found my car, and it wasn't even the one that I wanted (wanted black on tan, but black interior is better IMO, and the color grew on me).

BTW: What do u mean when you say "It walked."?

BTW for further info. I have NEVER goten a ticket, I have NEVER been in a wreck. I've had people try to wreck me, but the extensive training paid off and I was able to avoid all of it without any damage to my car or anyone else's. I have no credit cards to pay off, No loans. I Have PERFECT credit...and I Do mean perfect.

Mitsubishi's financing requires that you make atleast 3x the ammount of the car payment. I do. That is at 5% apr. My bank will give me 3.25% apr for 72 months. That is soo much less. My insurance right now will be EXACTLY 300 a month for this car. In a year from now, it will be cheaper, 4 years later it will drop even cheaper. When I Get married it will drop down again. Within time, my insurance should be around 200 bucks for this car. So we'll just say 600 bucks for this car....just rounding up a BUNCH of money, + 200... Thats only 800.

And I WILL be bringing home 1800, probably more because at my last job making 9 an hour, I was bringing home EXACTLY 15 an hour. I do my taxes perfect so I pay less, and I get alot back. So then add a big heafty tax return to the 0-500 bucks a month I'll be saving up. and thats how much money I will have left over to spend on clothes, cd's, movies, a game or two for my computer....

I dont really see the fault in my actions or calculations. I know at any time there can be something that comes up that I'll need money for....but when? and what? I know everything about my fiance and she's almost as cheap as I am...She doesn't care for shoes....she doesn't care for jewlery...she's actualy very weird on eating...she loves cereal and doesn't really eat anything else.

I...Uhm haha...I'm the type that gets free software, free music, free movies...I buy a pair of pants and I dont need another pair of pants for another 2 years. I still wear pants that I bought 5 years ago....I hardly eat. I dont really go places except to Phoenix every year for the NASCAR Race.

With this job I will have kick *** benifits, so if anything happends to her or me, I'm covered!

I'm planing on throwing back 2000 bucks after I get the car incase I get in a wreck, I'll have the 2 1000 dolor deductible's availible.

And if a baby happens, Which I highly doubt that it will since I wont even put her in that position right now, not until she graduates college.... IT happens...I can handle it. I'm not the only one with a job....She's bringing in money too...so if you add my money to hers which is what a couple should do....it helps out anyways. So thats an aditional 6 an hour, from 20-40 hours a week.

I can afford a 40k EvoMR....but I'd be tight on budget with other things like saving up....thats the only thing I need is to save up money....which was our plan anyways.

Our plan is to do some things so we can continuously build up our credit...while at the same time saving up money. So we can have a big down payment for a home of our own in the future. And its a perfect plan...we build credit and save up money...credit and down payment works wonders for a home. I was allready approved for a home....but we want something nicer and were willing to wait.

Well thats why I say I'll have an Evo one way or another. If the one I want turns out to be too much, and they cant make me a deal....There's the next one down...the used 9k miles 04 Evo8 that is identical...then from there, there is a white EvoRS with an aftermarket high end kenwood sound system and an aftermarket wing for 28k, and then last, there is a yellow 03 that is 26k

So one way or another, I'm gettin an evo, it might be the one I want, or it might be the next one down.

it was a 2nd gen 4G63....They have a SEVERE problem known as Crank Walking. And its pretty much unfixable...but you can maintain the car alot to keep from doing it...but it requires you to replace the main bearing like every 20k. Some 2nd Gen DSM's didn't walk...but most will. Its only a matter of time. Thats why if you speak to a DSM'er, they will probably mention that a 1st gen (6 Bolt) 4G63 is the best engine swap to do on a 2nd Gen clipse.

Yeh, the evos are great cars. One of the kids at my school has one. He never drives it though for some reason... probably because he doesn'ce have a licence
So yeh, patience is key. Also, make sure that the warranty is fully transferable.

Yeah, I know...it makes it easier to sell. Well I know it is if I get it through this one dealership, I dont know if it does through other places. CAuse that white EvoRS...the story on that was that this guy who makes like 9 an hour bought it, fixed it up with an aftermarket sound system (they dont come with stereo's) and an aftermarket wing (they dont come with wings) and then got some girl pregnate, so he felt his priority was to the girl and the child...but he only makes 9 an hour...so it has 1500 miles on it. But I'd get the yellow one before this one because I hate white...and the RS is too..plain.

Yeh, I'm with u on that. I hate white cars. Or should I say yellowish cars...

White fades... even on Lexus. Lexus had a reacall of sorts for some white car owners because the bottom part was becoming yellow. It was a free respray to fix the problem. Now that's good service
