Usually hippies drive jettas, from my experience. My first car was a 87 Pontiac Grand AM. THere was nothing "grand" about it other than low miles. I paid $1500 for it. It had power brakes and power steering, that's it. The windows were manual and when the drivers side window wouldn't roll down I had to have my friends throw toll change over the top of the car from the passenger seat.
Edit:
holy moly, I found one that looked exactly like it...except it's missing the rust holes in the doors.
System always under construction

People always seem to think that young drivers are lacking in skill and believe they can do anything. Yes, there are many kids out there who cannot drive but there are just as many middle-aged men who cannot either but just believe that their age qualifies them for the world's best driver award. Getting a nice car does not have a lot to do with deserving, I would say it just "luck of the draw" what type of family you end up in. Yeah I am now 18 and I drive an 05 X5 4.4i, but I would say I have a natural driving talent and that is backed up with racing school, offensive and defensive driving classes and just a set of parents who know how to drive.
Holey necrophiliac batman, this thread is old
I don't really have issue with young drivers, just question
letting them have new cars, I think that when you first start driving
there are going to be f-ups, but thats normal, its how you learn
My issue is with the kids thinking there better than every one else
because they have rich parents
I think we all know its the elderly drivers that are the problem
My dad is legally blind and drives - Thats just scary
Yay my first post! i am 19. i drive a 89 jeep Comanche. piece of crap!
i agree with the first post in this thread down to the letter. i have an advantage over most teens out there however and that is because i work at an auto auction. i get plenty of experience driving because i do it alot! especial parking. so leave your prejudice behind with me. you will find that i am better than the average teen driver.
ps: some you you guys need to lighten up a bit![]()
who really cares if a kid has a new car. That has nothing to do with whether they can drive or not. Just means they are priveleged or spoiled whatever you haters wanna call it. I personally have had a new car since i was 17 and no Fukc ups 7 years later. So get your head out of your azzes and realize the big picture. People just don't pay attention. maybe you should focus your hate on those people, for example the mommies driving the vans while on their cell phone, switching lanes, and not using blinkers, or basically ALL PEOPLE NOT PAYING ATTENTION WHILE DRIVING and not the spoiled ones.
Oh Yea, to address the second or third post from 3 years ago about the people that drive VW (Golf's) We drive like that to avoid the idiots around use. easiest way to avoid an accident is to be in front of it.
Much luv
I can't believe that this thread is still alive and kicking. Obviously it wasn't written by an inexperienced driver![]()
