Hmmm, i recommend driving by migel's place and finding out if his right hook is better than his left uppercut. Stop by my place after that so I could get your rims.
I have found you an argument; I am not obliged to find you an understanding.

    Does this describe your situation?

If you are under 20 then chances are you are an assclown who does not know how to properly handle a motor vehicle, thus you should not be driving a brand new vehicle that you will most likely trash. Of course it's not all the children's fault, it mostly lies w/ the parents b/c they are the dumbasses who purchased the vehicle for said child. I can understand the need for safety, but a child's 1st car should be one that will stand up to damage and be something that is expected to take damage, not little Bobby's 2005 350Z or Suzie's Benz SUV...
    If so, consider yourself hated.

on a serious side note, drive carefully... you will miss that car if it is gone, and people will miss you if you go(I hope). Hopefully your mom at least made you clean your room to get that car. It would be a shame if you had no respect for or understanding of the value of a good car.

16 with a WRX - that spells disaster to me!

No matter how mature someone thinks they are we all do silly things. I used to be pretty old for my age but still did things like 95 in a 30 and that was in a 1.1 litre Fiesta and I look back now and I am ashamed (although it was at about 2am - but you never know what is round the corner).

I just can't see how a 16 year old can have enough driving experience to be safe let alone the inevitable peer pressure that comes with any school kid and thir car - nevermind one with a WRX.

On the other hand maybe you won't feel the need to go flat out and drive dangerously and if you do feel the need to drive fast then you should be able to do it much safer than people in lesser cars.

I was thinking the same thing. At least it has AWD...
Then again, it may be more of a curse than a blessing. When I was 16 and only had my liscense for a week, I took my dad's explorer alone for the 1st time to go to school. It was rainy and I spun out taking a sharp turn. I learned a valuable lesson very early on: SLOW DOWN IN THE RAIN. I probably would not have learned that lesson had I been in an AWD vehicle, untill later when driving another vehicle, and it would fail to react how I anticipated and I would have a bigger problem on my hands.

I got a brand new A3 with 5-speed manual tranny, and 180hp plus some engine mods (upto somethin like 220hp) which is A LOT for such a small car...when I turned 18...

I started driving as soon as I was old enough to sit on my dads lap when we were near our beach house (closed off condominium), and then started drivign manual cars alone (with someone next to me) as soon as I could reach the pedal (about 12yo), and I took a few driving courses (including general abilities, speed, and defensive/offensive driving) I dont think that my car was over-powered for my ability. I was jealous as hell of the car and would kill myself everytime I saw a hairline scratch on the paint.

I dont think I was spoilt, I learnt alot from having that car instead of just having a "POS car I dont give a crap about"... it was my baby.. in fact I ended up selling it in favor of the used range (yeah, I paid the difference with my work) because I was so psycho about anything happening to it that I was becoming insane...literally...

Back when WRX just came out, we had a few kids overestimate the abilities of their AWD, some gruesome accidents, with one guy dying in a plunge off the cliff. From my experience, most young people should not have a car that can get to 60mph inless that 9 seconds

Yeah, that's what I was imagining... the false sense of security I would have had from such a tight car, leading to the gruesomeness of an accident from such a fast car.

Hmm, I didn't get a car until I could afford to buy it myself. So I bought myself a 1300 ford capri for my 21st Birthday (yeah I know took me a while to get a car, but then I didn't have to go long distances that I couldn't reach by bike, so I wasn't real fussed at the time).

Anyway, since I bought it myself I was very protective of it. (it was 7 years old BTW) but I learned on it and when I passed I would drive it fast enough when it required and slow enough at other times (only picked up 1 speeding ticket). Until I bought my next car, then I gave the Capri to my Dad. Do you know how great it is giving your dad your old car

And every car I've had since I am very protective of, and every scratch HURTS!!!!!.

i bought my 1st car too. A 1993 citroen ZX 1.4. The insurance cost me £1000!

I kept that car mint (rebuilt it after the rear suspension seized) and then mum got a new car and gave me her slightly newer peugeot and i gave sis my citroen. Within weeks it was trashed - the same was she had done with her previous 2 cars! I was gutted! Poor little citroen.

Hmm, my first insurance cost me £150 third party. I was original going to get insurance under my dads name (seeing as I didn't even have a licence then), but was advised to do it under my own, so I could build up my no-claims. Glad I did.

Most Insurance I have ever paid was just less than £800 when I first got the beemer 3 years ago. even that is now down to £400
