    I found a Saturn Station Wagon in Decatur, GA, for $950 with only 145k miles on it. I called the guy and left a message, so let's see how that works out. I may need to call on someone in ATL for a lil help this weekend

    ok, here's the deal. The Wagon has some engine noises and the guy doesnt realize that it's pretty typical of saturns. So I'm a go. I need someone to meet up with me in Atlanta to either a) follow me to CarMax to sell my current saturn or b) let me leave my car somewhere so I can come pick it up next weekend.

    Any takers? This will be either tomorrow or sunday.

    Good point. I found someone to ride down there with me so now I'm good. Man, you can really see if someone's your freind by asking them to drive 12 hours in one day just so you can get a deal on a car!

    i dont believe i read this entire thread

    but yea ive had my share of credit card debt while workin part time..then became full time and paid it all off in a year...so now i just pay my school loans(14K left) and girlfriends engagement ring....which i can pay off, but choose to pay it off monthly...credit score is 767 and workin on getting a house with brother....houses in nyc(brooklyn area) go for 500K+ and rent is 1300+
    so its easier to get in debt here and cost of livin is so much higher here....

    Life challenges, Wizard. Good luck to you and if you get tempted to buy that stuff, just picture that debt number in your signature going up, over $34, $35, $36,000. Think how hard you worked to get it down and remember how little you worried over fixing the truck because you had the cash to do it if you chose.

    The new job will help pay it down quickly. Just a little more waiting and you'll see the light at the end of the tunnel. It will be worth it.

    About those student loans. Have you though about refinancing them? Or taking out a loan at a lower interest rate to pay them off? Or have you already done this
