You have dropped your debt $13,000 in under a year! That is flat out awesome. Keep that laser focus and your debt this time next year will be single digits, then GONE.
Well done. You're going to beat this debt, then prosper after you clear it.

my hats off to you wizardPC. You are light years ahead of others your age. Many of your peers will never get it and always live paycheck to paycheck.
One thing though, when I looked at your budget you had money allocated to cigarettes. How much could you save by quitting?
Also, don't be afraid to "spend money to make money". Find people who will hire you to do sidejobs - anything that makes money. Installing ceramic floors, stuff like that. Spend the money for the tools only after you have aquired a client.

Without adjusting for inflation or tax increases... and figuring an "average" life span, the habit costs roughly $80,000 over a person's life. That does not include the physical impact of smoking or Viagra prescriptions since it is proven to contribute significantly to E.D. LOL!!!Originally Posted by thomasamiller

i've seen your sig changing to below 20K... but you diodn't poost here... y?![]()
not yet...it's not the end of the month yet. I am seriously thinking about buying a laptop (light weight, bluetooth, good battery life--basically much better than the one I sold you) but I felt I needed to get below 20K before I made the final decision.
I really made a killing this month: Holiday pay for Thanksgiving + Black Friday, Q3 Bonus, Christmas money, and they're adjusting our pay schedule for next year so I'm getting two and a half paychecks this month. Next month I'm also getting paid the holiday pay for Dec 23 & 26 (~$200 extra), and Jan 2 (another ~$100).
Friday, after I get the last paycheck and have paid my gas bill and rent, I'll make the decision. I gotta do some math first though.
PS: I like the sig BND![]()

That, folks, would be a difference of $15,632.40 over the last year. And remember, until April I was in Mississippi with a take home pay of ~$1900/mo. My take home since then has been about $2600/mo.
And I also spent about $2300 that stupid bronco that is now a lawn ornament and lost about $200 on the station wagon, as well as spending about $1500 repairing my Saturn. Oh yeah, interest means I actually paid MORE than the 15 grand.
If you stick to a budget, you never have to borrow money again and will feel like you got a raise. TELL YOUR MONEY WHAT TO DO!

good for you for not buying the laptop. Why not sell the bronco for $1000? It is not doing you any good sitting on your lawn. Put it on craigslist.com for free.
