your kidding right? i nominate this the most hilarious noob post ever.![]()
Hi, I'm a newbie and I've searched and searched and haven't been able to find anything out about this computer. According to the caption it was released in 2004. I would think it would be very cool to mount in my car. I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone here could help me with.
Do you think a opus would be enough to power it or should I go with a inverter?
Would it work with a lilliput or a Xenarc? Or should I look at getting a laptop screen?
What are those two wheels for? Is there a way I could use them to control winamp?
Is Frodo, CF, RR or any other frontend written in Fortran?
Any help would be appreciated.

I dont know, that might be to much for the opus... how many amps does it pull on each of the rails? Its going to be close, but if you add to many IBM 1401's to read the cards in it might be too much
My Install
Software:
CFiG v1
iGuidance Plugin for CF
CarShell
Working shell for a CarPC
StopWatch
StopWatch plugin remade for centrafuse RC1
It says it has "teletype interface", Is that the same as touchscreen?
i made that pic my wallpaper (on my laptop) definatly good for a laugh. dont happen to have a higher res shot of it?

I think it would look great. How big is your car, I think really you might need a lorry (or 'semi' do you call it in the states) for fitting room, but it may fit in a large van.Originally Posted by TimmyM
I suggest you contact Opus directly, they may need to uprate the 150W slightly. You will mainly be dependant on your alternator's limits however.Originally Posted by TimmyM
If you have a spare flux capacitor handy, this will solve most of the power problems on the move.
Yes check out www.egalax.com.tw , they have dirvers for all RAND hardware downloadable in punch card format.Originally Posted by TimmyM
