I'm moving there soon and need to find an apartment. I would like to find a nice place to live where my carputer has a fighting chance at not getting ripped off. Anyone have any suggestions or experiences good or bad with the area?

well, i live in sd, try to avoid places near downtown, and i guess chula vista, el cajon, maybe oceanside, mesa... not sure though.. why dont you find something that has a garage? i personally live in rancho bernardo, but i used to live in mira mesa and san marcos and had no problems, but i was hiding everything. I guessthe more careful you are with hiding the carpc and the screen (fold in in available) you are going to be fine! Sorry if i mentioned a place that somebody reading this thread lives, i dont mean to judge where you live this is just the places i have been told to avoid or have seen/heard things happening..

Yeah I figure I will try and find a place with garages and it looks like i will be avoiding those areas. Thanks for the response. Do you or does anyone else have specific apartment complexes that are recommended?

no idea... but it really depends on your price range. i think best thing to do is go on the web and look... if you like something, you can post it /pm us and we can say what we think... i am not sure what u are looking gor but prices are between 800 and 1300 ... you can go alil cheaper in a few places or a lot higher!

The farther you go from the border, the better.

I will definitely be looking up some places online. I have to try and narrow it down so when I actually get there I can go visit the places in person. A lot of places might have nice pictures but never really look like what they promise. At least thats how it is around here anyway.
