I bought my car at a dealer. It was 3yrs old. New car smell. (ahh)
Recently nailed a deer and used my dad's 4yr old car. New car smell. (ahh)
My car didn't have that new car smell when I brought it to the dealer. Full of sand and salt and whatever else winter brings. Smelled like heavily driven car - oil, new computer smell, and what-not. I put a blueberry smelly tin under the drivers seat to make it smell good. Got it back from the dealer tonight and it had that new car smell (ahh). In trying to find the source of the wonderful scent, I discovered my smelly tin was closed (in it's hiding place under the seat, no less) - and the tin smelled nothing like my new car smell. (ahh)
So, I ask you - what do dealers use to give us that wonderful new car smell. (ahh) Is it simply that my car sat undriven for a week? The dealer did a bang up job of detailing the car - vacuumed and washed nearly everything (missed the brake dust on the wheels). What could it be?
