It cost money to accept those charges. So it's justified.
A better thing to do would be to state that the charge
is + 3% to the buyer should he use a CC.

paypal charges no one anything to send money. they charge people to accept money. But if im correct you can accept bank transfer payments for free as a paypal member. But when you switch to accepting CC (the whole purpose of Paypal IMO) you now are a "business" member and get charged fees for accepting any payments.

Don't be a dick about it. I once accidently clicked on the buy it now button on a very expensive item. I don't know if they've since fixed it, but there was NO confirmation screen at all. It went straight to "OH HAY YOU BOUGHT THIS ITEM LOL HOPE YOU GOT 1000 BUCKS LOL". It was pretty stupid, and I emailed the guy apologizing, telling him I didn't mean to do that. He was understanding, and let me off the hook.

Sometimes, it's nice to know there are still some understanding people in the world.
