That car handles amazing, around corners it will squat a little and go, its so well balanced with its MR setup you cant go wrong. Get a carputer in there!
A V6 can be swapped in with a LOT of work. The MkI MR2's were 4 bangers, Normally aspirated or supercharged.

New radiator. *****. I'll be putting one in.

Problem is, a radiator for turbos is a dealer only part. I gotta find one used or shell out 400 bones for a new one.

May I suggest buying a 3SGTE clip? Tons faster then USDM turbo setups, and they are an easy install.

I'm STILL not driving it yet. Just replaced the radiator and now I need to get an air bubble out.

Just read this thread. I'm jealous, you got a great price for a great car.

My own two cents worth: Do you have a job? If so, you need to think about taking Scouse's advice. That thing is going to nickel and dime and $400 you to death if you attack it piecemeal. Save up a good $1,000-$2,000 this summer and get the engine completely rebuilt. That will bring the reliability up.

Try to replace stuff that fails and can kill your car. Oil pump, water pump, alternator, all belts, chains, etc.

Don't take it to Toyota. Take it to a shop that specializes in Toyotas and has a good reputation. Get 4 or 5 quotes and find out exactly how much it will cost, what gets replaced, reworked, and how long it will take.

When you're done, you'll have a great car that will last you for another 100k miles.

Cheapest isn't always best. Don't ask me how I know...
Well, if you insist, I got my bumper resprayed and its the wrong color.
Rule of thumb: never let mexicans do any work on your car.
