Anyway, Anyone who doesn't want to be member of the month could easily opt not to do it if they want. The person could choose not to collect money by not giving his paypal e-mail. The only problem was mentioned before is that the paypal fees might be too expensive for people in other countries. I don't know what the fees are so I'm not really sure.

what i don't see is how you are gonna make sure people pay. it doesnt seem fair if someone never pays and then wins.

The exception would be if a noob brought something amazing and was really helpful etc etc and deserved to win.

No....The whole point is people don't have to pay if they don't want to. So they can win even if they never contribute a dime, its their choice. I would even consider throwing out the idea of making contributions, but I figured it was an incentive for people to help more often, in order to become member of the month.

I think it is more generous if someone contributes knowledge in the forms than money.

Now I definately think that a person should only be elected once. That way other people can have a chance.

hmmmm i only see people contributing for a couple of months and then not bothering.

as for the one time - yeah that would be best but sods law someone will win one month and get $5 and someone else will win the next and get $500!

anyway, what do i care about who gets what? i am never gonna win as everyone hates me and ignores the really good avice i give people

The idea is good though, it would be nice for people to get the appreciation they deserve.

I was thinkign of a star thing too. maybe slapped on the side of your avatar. Big gold star for top and then silver and bronze. The money would be a nice idea but it would only really work if people paid a subscription (which i would but not many new members would)

ADMINS: Please add the "User Reputations" part of vbulletin. It would be a very nice feature to have.
