Backing up is the easy part..... switching lanes going 90 on a crowded highway.... that is scary when you just see your reflection in the window.

You look in your rear mirror when switching lanes
I was talking about just the rear window, not the side ones

Just the same, dont be suprised to see a reflection when looking to the side... especially with a screen on in the car.... I know you know what I am talking about... anyone who has ridden in a dark tinted car at night can attest to the poor visibility. It's not impossible to see, but it isnt making it safer!

with 5% on the glass & three lcd's up front....glair becomes a big issue...I dim everything down real low...I still see my instument cluster on my left window & my two dash screens & climate control on my right......just hope everything outside has lights on it or it's like driving with blinders...I wouldn't recomend it in rural areas that are real dark at night....whenever I visit my sister in south jersey it is real dark & visibility is really 0...in the city it is usually lit everyware....5% is a little to dark but it is awsome when in the day, no one can see you even through the windshield if your sitting back...it also makes a huge difference in daytime visability of lcd's.....I would love to tint my windshield 15% but then I think I'd be pushing it......

I have 15% on both side windows,a strip on the windshield, and 5% limo tint on the hatch. I can see fine, and at night, I don't have to darken the rear-view mirror. It works great as protection from the FL sun, and anytime I come close to cops, I roll both windows down, so they don't harass me.

5% on side windows is effectively a mirror at night. I hope you can dim all your interior lights to the point of almost off. I would actually have to cut my head unit off at night just to see the headlights of cars in neighboring lanes for passing. And it sucked having to roll my windows down at night in the winter every time I wanted to turn at a stop sign. Unless you live in some hellishly hot state I wouldn't go lower than 15%.

I have since removed my tint (after a warning from a cop ), and am now running 15% on the rear window, and I'm going to tint the sides with 50% myself. Tinting side windows is very simple.

35% all around w/ a windshield strip. I like it, no nightime problems.
