8. I admit since you are obviously not making a ton of money off of this we are in the grey area of a group buy.
9. We pay the bills. It is our site. We decide what happens. Please ask us nicely. Don’t give us an attitude. Just communicate with us.
10. I was further upset by your Multi level marketing free flatscreen that you were advertising in your signature as well as an “advertisement” to your cables thread.
11. Start a website, throw them on eBay and if it is a good product word will spread.


There is a reason the whole group by rule started way back in 2004.

I tried to politely explain this in the e-mails we had back and forth.

yes, you did politely ask, BUT you did not give me a reason why, only now about 6 emails into it. also you knew about this thread way back, but you only give me the masage now. also i did ask you guys politely too about what happens, but after 3 emails w/o answers i couldn not be mad. and sory if you got a problem, but try looking at it from my point of view. also i won't be bumping the thread anymore, but you have to allow me to give support to my buyers. And i asked you guys nicely, and politely on what i have to do to keep selling them, and nothing, no answers. so. now that we have it out of our systems, please let me know what i can do for you to be able to sell these. I want to grow this community as much as you guys, and help out everyone as i can. I have the emails you sent me to back me up in the reason of my "attitude" that you think i have, which i don't i only got pi$$ed about you guys not telling me WHY... If i know the reason, i live wit it. Gotta disagree somewhat. Certainly, a group buy can involve product that you create/make/build, Although in this situation, I do not believe he was doing a group buy. Generally group buys have a number requriement, Like, 10 is this price, 20 is that price, and 30 is another price, and if I can't get 10, then either it is a whole other price, or I aint sellin them.

HOWEVER, even though he may not be making a killing here, or lots of money, or even any money, that doesn't stop it from being "Commercial"

First, alook at the FS/FT thread rules states "Commercial sellers must contact ziplock@mp3car.com before they begin making "for sale" posts. [B]No free advertising for businesses."

A search for a definition of commercial seller returned the following for commercial
"Commercial: Adjective used to signify a business activity, regardless of whether that activity has been undertaken by an individual or business."

While BOY is an individual, he is manufacturing the cables in order to sell them. That is clearly a business activity. Most of the the things I have created, built, made, soldered together were never done with the intent to sell them, but BOY is doing the exact opposite. He is making them in order to sell them.

Certainly, selling something that you create, make or manufacture, is a commercial seller.

Now, just because he neglected to put the FS thread in the correct forum, shouldn't insulate him from the rules.

While he hasn't "harmed" anyone, that certainly doesn't make what he did/is doing correct. I think he is violating the rules.

I Don't think he is a bad person. He just unintentionaly broke the rules.

Boy, I remember your post and I read much into it...

Here are my 1.5cents worth of ideas on this though:
- Boy you are really "pi$$ed" (you used that word 5 times in your post), and your atittude comes out due to your anger. unfortunately it doesnt help your case, it only worsens it. Fiberoptic's reply to your post was calm, and educated, stating only facts in an organized fashion.. Immediately I was more inclined to side with him... so this is general advice...
- I dont think it was a group buy based on the different pricing for different quantities... Bulk discounts dont institute group buys the way I see it, and the minimum was to get into business... I dunno, maybe it is grey area.
- As a service to the community MP3Car store should either carry these cables or make their own (not the most ethical imho) and sell, or allow BND to sell them on here. Afterall we get a few things being advertised here... mastero psu? some prototypes of what WILL come (PSUs, Relay Cards, AM/FM recv, etc)... most are just projects and wont bring in huge profits, so it makes sense to leave them since they add a lot to carpc users... I think the XM cable should fall into this "General Usefulness" category.

Please settle ur differences It is for the gain of the community!

thank you for your support ppl. I really apreciate it. I'm sorry for being so mad yesteday, but i'm this type of person. i get mad if i'm being mistreadted. I do apologize to the mod's and owners f this site if i broke any rules, and i would like to make up for it. I'll stop selling my cables untill you guys give me a response on what i hav to do to sell these, i have about 20 left of the batch of 50 that i started selling. I only wanted to make ppl's lives easier with this product, and i think i did, especially at that price. I understand, and respect your decision, but would like to be able to sell these further (untill stock ends that is) because of the trouble, i might not do another batch.

I hope that in the future we can settle this in a moderate way.

Thank you for all of your undrstanding, so as of now, there are no more cables for sale (temporarly) untill further notice.
