    Dilemna

Im in a little dilemna and just wondering what you guys think.

Im a very laid back, non agressive guy. I've never been in a serious fight my whole life, I dont hang out with people who fight alot, so im not exposed to it.

But today, me and my friend (mike) were going frisbee golfing when he saw one of his x friends (dave) . Apparently, when Mike was living with Dave, he went over and took one of his memory cards without asking, cause no one was home. Mike brought it over to another guys house, and forget it there. Dave did get the memory card back, but he is ****ed cause Mike basically stole it, and Mike brought it over to one of his friends house who Dave doesnt like.

So Dave and Mike went back and forth and Dave finally said, dont let me see your around here again or I will beat the **** outta you, yada yada.

But I was faced with a dilmena when I saw them arguing and thinking about what I would do if they started to fight. Dave was with 2 girls and a skinny guy. I work out, and Mike is a little guy, im sure Dave could take him. But if Dave and Mike started to fight, do you think I should jump in? Or should I let them fight untill say its clear Dave has won and now he is straddling Mike and pummeling him. Should I step in then and grab Dave off of him?

Also Dave said to leave the park, but Mike kinda ignored him. Now I was worred cause my car is the one that we came in. And the last thing I want is to walk back to my car seeing it smashed or scratched up. But when Dave told Mike to leave the park, even though I have no involvemnt, I almost felt like I couldent just leave with Mike for pride reasons, ya know? Like who is Dave that he can tell us to leave a park. But the problem was I drove us, so if Mike wanted to leave, I in turn would have been forced to leave also. The I thought about saying something to Dave, if Mike did say he wanted to leave. I know us men always have the pride thing, but do you think it would have been smart to just leave and just kinda turn my cheek? Cause you know, I dont want to look like a chump and then Dave goes and tells his friends, "yah it told mike to get the **** out and his friend Jim left with him without saying a damn thing to me"

We did end up leaving after a few holes cause Mike was worried Dave was gonna come back with a few more guys and who knows what else.

    Thoughts?

Ok ok, addressing your question, if he goes to beat your friend, definetly back him up. You can't just leave him hanging.

    Here's what I would do:

If your friend attacked HIM (ie, made the first physical violent move), I would stay out of it as long as your friend had the upper hand. If, however, he started to lose, definitely don't just stand by, jump in and help your friend.

If, however, the other guy made the first violent move, I would run him over like a freight train...

I'd have to agree with Pudge - if they let something like a cheap-*** memory card cause so much trouble, I wouldn't give a cr@p. If they want to fight - I'd be standing by laughing the whole time. And would even offer to call for an ambulance when they're done!

Pretty darn childish attudes, I'd have to say...

I would have told him he had an agression problem that could be easily fixed if he didnt stfu and leave us alone. And I would have stared at him with a murderous look. And yes, definitely back your friend up.

But dont you think its kinda cheap if they started to fight and then I just jump in and now its 2 on 1? I mean if you were fighting someone, you would want it to be one-on-one right? You wouldent want his friend jumpin in on you.

I mean, itd be differnt if this was a kid we didnt know and for some reason he came up and started **** for no reason, then sure I'd jump in.

Im kinda glad we left though, cause this Dave kid is a little crazy. Like stabbin a kid in the stomach with a pen when he was younger. I mean the last thing I need is to get involved in some ongiong dispute. Cause nowadays, its never just, 'one fight and its done'. Now its, one fight and whoever loses gets some friends and jumps the other guys a few days later. The the other guy comes back and does the same thing and before you know it, someone is dead over some stupid ****. Cause I know I can take the Dave kid without a problem. But like I said, nowadays people are so quick to grab a baseball bat, a knife, a gun, etc.

I took a baseball bat head on once, it hurts, but the feeling right after
where you take the bat and beat them bloody is very nice.

Damn. And see, Im pretty calm, but when I get ****ed off, its really hard to control myself. And I know I would be one of those mild mannered guys you see on TV who just snap one day and kill someone and now im in jail for 25 to life for something I did in a fit of rage.
